Only two days left before the rest of the world, everyone outside USA, will be able to purchase and get involved in Forged Alliance! Great! :)

The sites SupCom Talk and SupCom Live have already several articles and postings about the new era in the SupCom history.

Forged Alliance LIVE

Tonight at 19:00 QUADV “brings you the inaugural videocast of the Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance Beta”, according to their website. It’s a nice decision, because the people without a beta-key have a chance to get a glimpse of the stand alone SupCom product, due to be out this November. We have high expectations, lets start with a taste tonight!

Splash in the air…

It’s well known that fabs make a lot of damage in the surroundings, meaning buildings close to them can blow up in a chain reaction. What i had missed until today was that this effect very well also counts up in the air… apparently without any reduced effect. I played a ranked today against a guy ranked way ahead of me. I was doing fine but were attacked pretty heavy when i thought i should use my gunships, to make a assassination attempt. When arriving to the base my gunships by chance shot some fabs, before aiming at the commy, and as the fabs were lined up together with a couple of T2 pg’s there were a heavy chain reaction. To my surprise, all of my gunships blew up! Otherwise i think i could have been successful in my attempt…

Surely, i will keep this in mind for coming matches.

SGL’s Single Elimination Cup

Tonight QuadV broadcasted the above mentioned cup, and there were some great moments. I recommend you to go into the GPGNet Replay Vault and watch some of the matches. I do not want to give too much away, but i must say Sir_Loui and Usling stood for the evening climax. Sir_Loui for an epic event which will vouch for a historical moment in the SupCom history, and Usling (the other Swedish player this evening btw) for showing off nice moves as an underdog. Time for a nap…

Halo 3 concert

Last night i went to Berwaldhallen, a concert hall in Stockholm, the home ground of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. The reason for this were a concert to pay tribute to the release of Halo 3. The orchestra and a choir performed music pieces from the game and delivered a nice Halo atmosphere. Kind of the same spirit as the concert PLAY!, performed by the second bigger orchestra in Stockholm. The rock band Backyard Babies were invited too.

The highlight of the evening as i felt afterwards was the final with the orchestra playing Mjolnir (you’ll surely recognize it if you’ve played the Halo games) featuring Jani Liimatainen on electric guitar. He accomplished the tough task to play this kind of piece, tight together with a full orchestra, and deliver it with feeling. Well done! :)

This evening (together with the earlier experience of Halo and Halo 2 completion) can be enough for me to buy a box of 360… we’ll see…

Ladder review

Today my rank got a boost by almost 3000… without playing a game at all!

Sit down, the answer is simple. GPG made a review of the ladder and removed inactive players (not stating how they measure inactive btw). Go have a check, maybe you also had some inactive players above your rank.  ;)

Replay tip

Replays is nice to watch and can be instructive to get your own gameplay going. Once in a while you find those replays where you could have brought some popcorn, they have very entertaining moves to make the game weigh over, and players making an incredible comeback for example. This one, broadcasted by QuadV is a nice one. TheLittleOne shows off his creativity once again…

The other, a FFA played same evening is nice too:
